Act 7, the Return of the Pantheon.
Staff Team
Welcome to Crystal Empire, USA
The Dark Alliance has faced a divide: Queen Nehellenia has been purified and is now the Goddess and ruler of the Moon. With her purification at the hands of Neo Queen Serenity and Neo Sailor Moon, there is a shift in the wind – Greek deities (original planet rulers), heralds (Sailors/Knights) and Augurs (priest(esses) and consorts) from the past are being revived and Hades has been unsealed.

With the coming of Hades has seen the unsealing of Satre and Hyperion, and the future is now even more uncertain as the ruler of Nemesis has a vendetta against Chronos…and more. The Future Moon have now since reunited with the Crystal Empire, their memories have been restored. Will they be able to save their future that they can no longer return to?

Eternal is a Sailor Moon role play, rated L3/S3/V3 and self-hosted utilizing MyBB, a software identical to JCink. We use Member Profiles for our application process and focus on a story act system. We have a plethora of canons available including many popular ones. We’re set after Sailor Moon, merging the 90s anime, manga, Sailor Moon Crystal into one game. We accept original characters and use real life face claims.

the dead will walk
roll your own adventure!

The Dead Will Walk

Everyone feels it: the sensation of being watched or--as others might put it--someone walking across your grave. It makes the hair on the back of your neck and forearms stand up, leaving you with a cold sweat between your shoulder blades that gradually fades away.

Except that the uneasy weight in your chest does not. That stays and, as nightfall comes, you realize why.

it begins

As sunset gives way to night, the first energy spike is picked up by the Crystal Palace sensor just as the emergency beacon (one the first responders make use of to alert of a situation beyond their control) begins to blare. Not even a moment later the first report comes in: undead monsters are attacking all over Crystal City.

More and more unfamiliar energy signatures (something born of Chaos and Darkness; unknown to the Crystal Palaces tracking programs) appear on the city map, illustrating that it is not an isolated event. Everyone has to do their part and get out there to help the citizens of Crystal City and keep whatever is happening from spreading out and reaching Infinity City.

It quickly becomes clear those of the Dark Alliance are not responsible. Just as the Crystal Palace made note of undead monsters' energy signature and appearance, so did the Dark Alliance. Whatever is going on, it does not care about the petty squabbles happening between opposing forwards (on within). All that the Dark Alliance holds to, care about, and otherwise tries to maintain a grip on is just as much of a target for these attacks. There is only one goal here: absolute chaos and destruction at all costs.

Oh, and one more thing: someone has taken Saturn Knight from the Crystal Palace.

what's going on?

Welcome to Eternal's Roll Your Own Adventure! event ~ What's that, you ask? Exactly what it sounds like! Below you will find rules and more that will help guide you to set up your own encounter with the undead creatures that are currently stalking Crystal City.

Please note that no one is required to participate in this, it's just a way that I thought up so people could generate encounters for our powered characters to deal with! You are welcome to do this solo or with a partner or more! Whatever you feel like! However, if there is more than one person, only one individual needs to roll the dice to see what you're going to be dealing with!

Below are the rules and further down the guidelines on how to get going! Oh, and we will be making use of the Dash Delta dice bot within The Dead Will Walk event channel within Discord. If there are any questions or the like, don't hesitate to reach out to me in DMs or the questions channel!

If you're wondering why the Dark Alliance would bother to help out instead of just letting things get wrecked? It's because they are under attack as well! Plus, the Dark Alliance does not want humanity to die, they just want Earth to belong to Terrans/Earthlings alone! That's their source of energy!

For those that wish to know the event takes place on March 15th, 2031!

Event Guide

  • For this to work, everyone will be making use of Dash Delta dice bot within The Dead Will Walk event channel on Discord as previously stated!
  • First you will roll a 1D4 (-r 1d4) to determine which area of Crystal City you will be in. 1 = Com/Rec District, 2 = Residential District, 3 = Essential District, and 4 = Elsewhere (aka Writer's Choice!).
  • Next you roll a 1D6 (-r 1d6) to determine what kind of situation you are dealing with! There will be more details about that below! You will also be able to choose between combat or non-combat situations as well ~ You only do this once as all rolls following this will be going towards handling what is going on!
  • Once your location and situation are determined, the fun begins! You start at 0 EP (event points) and you want to bring that up to 25 EP so that the situation is resolved!
  • From this point forward you roll a 1D8 (-r 1d8) for each of your posts to see how the situation is going and add that to your EP total. When you reach 25, everything is taken care of! For what exactly happens when you roll your 1D8 please look down below!
  • While we are using a dice roll to determine how things are going during the fight (or scene) is going, the dice do not determine how well your character is handling the situation! That is all up to you! This is not an event designed to make characters (or writers) feel inadequate (as we all know dice gods are a fickle bunch) but to enable them to do what they do best and write characters kicking butt and taking names (so to speak)!
  • If you're doing this with a partner or a group, only one individual needs to roll but everyone needs to post before you roll again!
  • If there's something you don't understand: ask! I just want everyone to have fun with this ~
  • Should you be doing multiple threads within the event and roll a 1D6 situation that you've already done, you are allowed to reroll once!
  • As one last thing: while this thread is posted in the Act 7 forum, your threads should go in their respective forums in Crystal City!

1D6 fights & encounters

  • ONE -
fight: A bus full of children returning from an away game (that they won!) are under attack. Protect those on the bus, defeat the monsters, and get everyone to safety!
encounter: A group of monsters have destroyed a building! Check the rubble for any survivors and clear the area to make sure no one else needs assistance!
  • TWO -
fight: A particularly large undead skeleton is terrorizing the area and needs to be dispatched before it causes anymore harm! Oh, it also somehow sings and mesmerizes those nearby?!
encounter: In the wake of a large undead skeleton, people remain unmoving. Seemingly mesmerized and unresponsive, you need to break the hold of the monster on the group gathered and get them out of harm's way.
  • THREE -
fight: Something is stalking the streets and it is hunting you. Find it, fight it, and make sure it won't add anyone else to its list of victims!
encounter: There is always that reporter; the young, up and coming one with practically no sense of self-preservation in the face of the scoop of a lifetime. Worse: they've drawn a crowd and you need to disperse it and get them out of the danger zone.
  • FOUR -
fight: A staticky call comes in: a group of police officers trying to help evacuate people to protection shelters are getting overwhelmed by a swarm of small undead critters. Go help them!
encounter: A fire has started in a building! People are still inside and it looks like emergency services are delayed due to having to take an alternative route. Do what you can to get the people out and stop the fire from spreading as best you can!
  • FIVE -
fight: Hearing cries for help, you come across a group of people that have been cornered by some undead. One individual is already injured having tried to protect everyone else and it looks as if another is about to be taken out as well ... Get in there, already!
encounter: The raccoons of the city have sensed an opportunity and are taking advantage of all the chaos! Which is to say: raccoons are being utter shits and stealing and running off with food, trinkets, and more ... Maybe give them something better to do before they actually get in trouble?
  • SIX -
fight: What you thought was a cry for help turned out to be an undead monster using the voice of someone you know. Better get rid of them before they lure anyone else!
encounter: Someone--rather stupidly--is kicking up a fuss at one of the protection shelters. They think this is all a massive conspiracy and want out! Calm them down before they rile up everyone and make matters worse!

1D8 outcomes

  • ONE -
fight: Out of nowhere, another undead swoops down and tries to either cart you--or someone that you're rescuing--off!
encounter: A bystander steps in to help out and is able to provide you some assistance to make things go smoother! Should you roll this again, it may be the same individual still helping or have someone else come in!
  • TWO -
fight: A blast comes out of nowhere, creating more destruction and chaos, and sends people (that you may not have been aware of in the area) running.
encounter: In the middle of dealing with the situation, someone has decided that they really want to get a selfie with you! Or an interview for their podcast! Run with it, push them aside, or otherwise! When you roll this again, they are still there and asking more questions.
  • THREE -
fight: A broken ice cream truck song starts to play, luring undead towards it. Apparently, it doesn't matter if you're undead when it comes to getting your favorite frozen treat! Repeat rolls of this mean that the music from the truck sporadic plays and stops.
encounter: As you handle your situation, you discover something black and twisting. Picking it up does not cause you any harm, though it is unnerving to even look at it. Wait a minute ... Is this what the undead are made of? Whatever the case, it turns to a strange green smoke and fades away, leaving you greatly unsettled and with a sense of impending doom.
  • FOUR -
fight: Just when things are looking up, it looks as if really cranky skeleton using its arm as a weapon is making a beeline for you. Think fast!
encounter: Strangely enough, one of the undead monsters is friendly and is more interested in looking after people than fighting. It's kind of weird but harmless, so ... yay?
  • FIVE -
fight: After taking down one of the undead, it leaves behind a residue ... It wriggles and twists about, eventually turning to wisps of green smoke that fade away. You are left with the uneasy knowledge that there is a price to be paid for this immortal life.
encounter: Someone shows up to give you a hand! This can be anything from a firefighter to a city official to a police officer. No matter who it is, they can provide you with aid to get your situation under control.
  • SIX -
fight: An unnatural chill sweeps through the area, freezing those you are dealing with and leaving those you are trying to help unharmed. As it passes, you hear a whisper: Don't say I didn't ever help. Should you roll a second (or more) time, there is no voice that comes with the chill, only silence.
encounter: You happen to notice that someone, down the way, has managed to coordinate a group of zombie-like undead into performing Thriller. Good for them?!
  • SEVEN -
fight: It turns out that--at least for the moment--your opponent is caught in a loop of repeating the same action over and over again. Might be best to take advantage of the situation before it gets back to normal.
encounter: A voice whispers in your ear: The world is not so black and white as you'd like to think. It's gone as quickly as it is heard. Should this be rolled a second (or more) time, you instead hear the low hum of someone talking but cannot make out the words. A scream echoes in the distance.
  • EIGHT -
fight: It turns out that Helios' theories about magic returning are true! A blast of magical energy comes out of nowhere--from a bystander--and staggers your opponent(s). The bystander promptly passes out afterward, however, so there's that.
encounter: Somehow, someway, you trip over your own feet (or something similar). Oh, but you still look absolutely amazing and graceful doing so! (Please note that's not sarcasm.)

This is just an example to give you an idea of what the rolls will look like as well as how it should go! For the purposes of this, I am picking the encounter option and showing my opening post that will be posted in the Residential District.

  • location: (2) residential district
  • encounter: (4) A fire has started in a building! People are still inside and it looks like emergency services are delayed due to having to take an alternative route. Do what you can to get the people out and stop the fire from spreading as best you can!
  • EP roll: (3) As you handle your situation, you discover something black and twisting. Picking it up does not cause you any harm, though it is unnerving to even look at it. Wait a minute ... Is this what the undead are made of? Whatever the case, it turns to a strange green smoke and fades away, leaving you greatly unsettled and with a sense of impending doom.

Coming to a halt, Sailor Star Maker surveyed the troubled skyline of Crystal City. Not so far away, they saw the first flickers of fire and leaped into action. As they moved, rapidly jumping from rooftop to rooftop, each one getting shorter than the rest as they were entering the residential district, they took note of the fact that so many people were already in action.

A finger was placed against their earpiece--the transformed Change Star--and spoke along the communications shared with the others. "Going to need a fire truck," they said, rattling off the address a heartbeat later. They frowned at the reply that it would take time, as all the immediate routes were blocked off.

"Alright, I'll do what I can in the meantime." Star Maker was already staring at a fire hydrant. Except that ... "What in the universe ..." They moved forward, making note of something inky black that was on the fire hydrant. As they came closer, it practically leaped out and curled around their wrist.

Gasping sharply, they were not prepared for the uneasy feeling that overcame them and left them near breathless. Whatever it was, it faded to green smoke within seconds. There was no time to contemplate what it might have been, what it might have done, but they did not miss the fact that they felt as if they were fighting an uphill battle.

Star Maker pushed past it and raced into the building.

(( EP Total: 3/25 ))

With this written and posted, it is time to go roll another 1D8 in The Dead Will Walk event channel and see what happens by checking the list of Outcomes ~ Use that to flavor your next post, add the roll to your running EP total, and work your way to 25 points to take care of the situation! Don't forget that if you're doing this with someone else, you both need to do a post before rolling again but thankfully you share the same EP pool!
