Zahid scowled down at his phone as he typed out another text.  The band's group chat was as lively as ever with discussion of their upcoming concert, but not even the excitement could not overrule his displeasure at being dragged all the way out here.

Though in retrospect, it seemed far more appropriate to meet here than anywhere else.  This, at least, was neutral ground, and there was little chance of them running into anyone they knew.  It was already a strange enough scene, a rock star meeting up with a businessman and a county judge.  Almost like the start of a bad joke, really.

And really, Zahid wasn't sure why they needed to meet up in person at all.  He couldn't see why this matter couldn't just be settled over text message.  It wasn't like he couldn't guess what this might be about.  Especially given recent developments.

Four or five years ago, Zahid would have jumped at the chance to work with the Cordelia Song just for the sake of it, but now?  Now it presented some fascinatingly tempting possibilities.  Quite a pity that his own reputation was also on the line with this little PR stunt.  But perhaps more pressing was the Black Moon and they stunt they pulled with the explosives.  They had the potential to be very annoying indeed.

His thoughts were interrupted as he heard the rhythmic rust-red sound of approaching footsteps. He glanced up from his phone, still scowling. "This had better be important."

Walking into the room, London looked over at Zahid and nearly chuckled at the scowl on his face. That was one thing about the ocean wielding Knight that always cracked him up. He seemed to always be irritated by these things. ”Why are you so gloomy? Did someone steal your guitar or something again?”he asked as he sat down putting his feet on the table in front of him that he sat next to. He may be a businessman but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t put his feet up if he wished it.

Raising a brow he crossed his arms across his chest and looked over to the oceanic knight. ”Really though. What’s got your knickers in a twist?”he asked his fellow knight curious as to what was bothering him. He had his moments where he was severely irritating though all of them could be, he still ‘cared’ enough to ask what was bothering them. He was too busy keeping up with his business and knight work then to know everything that was going on in their lives. Honestly who would keep up with that? Plus that was just their cover it had nothing to do with their job as Dark Kingdom knights.

Raising a brow he glanced around to see who else was entering before returning to his comfortable position of lounging. London released a breath as he relaxed in his chair. Despite the irritating feelings he felt toward his fellow knight he still felt some form of team like spirit with them.

Only Zahid could be dumb enough to actually allow himself to take part in a concert with a Sailor Guardian. They were quite literally the enemies, and this wasn't exactly one of those 'keep your enemies close' things, it was just Zahid's ridiculous ego, out of control, again. Which was where Max and the others came in, because now they had to meet up to discuss this and figure out what their plans were. Hopefully, Zahid was at least smart enough to not make the guardians suspicious of him, but Max highly doubted it.

Walking into the meeting place, Max closed the door and glanced to London, gaze passing straight over Zahid. It was no secret that Max didn't like his teammates, but in this instance, Max really didn't want to deal with the musician. "And we aren't meeting at headquarters because...? Because you realize just how incredibly suspicious this looks, right?"

If anyone knew anything about suspicious meet-ups, it was certainly Max. What had started out as just taking one bribe to throw a trial had turned into an empire for Max, making him wealthy off just doing a poor job at work. Or rather, being known as the judge who was hyper-critical of everything and loved to toss out evidence and statements. Basically, being an ass, which wasn't too far from the truth anymore.

Shoving his hands into the pockets of his black slacks, Max wasn't exactly happy to be here, and he really wasn't happy to have gotten the original text while at work. "So when you screw up and they figure out who you are, you want us to fix it all for you?" Finally glancing over to Zahid, Max was not a concert goer by any means, and especially not to any of Zahid's concerts. Needless to say, he never intended on ever attending a concert with Cordelia Song. At least one of them knew where to draw boundaries.

"Don't worry about it, Zahid. You're not having to deal with idiots by yourself anymore." Andie said as she strolled up to the table where the three other knights were sitting. She'd been involved in the group chat. She was excited about their upcoming concert. She hated the idea of having to play with one of the guardians, but the idea of using that bitch to make their band more famous? Yeah, okay. She was liking the idea of that. And it was definitely a good chance to try and find out some good information about what the damned do-gooders had planned.

Yeah, the more she thought about this, the more she liked the sound of it.

Andie didn't quite fit in with the people she was meeting up with. She wore lots of dark colors, had a leather jacket on, and was wearing a pair of leather boots several inches high. She had a thing for dark eyeliner as well. She dumped herself down into a seat and she grinned over at Zahid. He was the only real friend that she had in their ranks. The other members she tolerated. London wasn't so bad most of the time. Max, though, was just one massive annoying pain in the ass. She couldn't stand him and she couldn't wait until he inevitably ended up getting himself killed because he said or did something else dumb.

"Look, we'll just say that we're the latest people you're paying off to be your next corrupt witnesses. Come on. You're supposed to be smart, Max." Andie snorted as she kicked her feet up onto the table. She was going to go ahead and make herself comfortable since she knew that this was going to be a meeting where the idiots argued back and forth. She was only here because it was part of her job as a member of the Dark Kingdom. And honestly, she also knew that Zahid didn't deserve to deal with Max's bullshit on his own.

"So what's the big deal? What are we talking about? That explosion? Or Max losing the weapon of Sailor Saturn? Because I'm fine talking about that too." She smirked as she looked over at Max. How the hell he had lost a weapon so powerful, she'd never be able to figure out.

There was no point in dignifying Marama's inane questions with a proper reply.  Zahid only rolled his eyes in response.  Marama knew damn well how much Zahid hated these meetings, or a least he should.  He wished they could just get to the point of the meeting and be done with it.  But not yet.  Not until the others got here.

Speak of the fucking devil.

If Chase wanted to ignore him, then that was fine.  More than fine.  Zahid would ignore Chase too, if he could.  The slimy bastard made Marama look almost tolerable.  When Chase finally turned his attention to Zahid, Zahid met him with a dead-eyed stare, visibly unimpressed by the bastard's assessment.  Really, he wasn't sure what he was more offended by; the idea that he would fuck up, or the idea that he would rely on any of his comrades for anything, certain exceptions aside.  Zahid wasn't that foolish.  Besides, his bandmates had all been on board with the idea.  All of them.  He trusted their judgement far more than he trusted Chase's.

Zahid wasn't going to bother justifying himself, though.  And lucky for him, he didn't have to.  Andie had arrived just in time.  He looked up when he heard her voice and her approach to the table, and his mood was instantly lifted.

"You, love, are a bloody lifesaver," he said in greeting, unable to hold back a smile.  A little overdramatic of him, sure, but the relief he felt upon seeing her was real.  Being stuck dealing Chase alone was a pain.  Why should Andie or Zahid subject themselves to that when tag-teaming the bastard was so much more fun?  Andie had even offered a good rebuttal to one of Chase's complaints, and saved Zahid the agony of having to admit to himself that the tosser might have a point about something.  This was why Andie was the clever one, and Zahid was not.

Then she went and did him yet another favor by bringing up Chase's latest blunder.  "Ah, yes.  That did happen, didn't it."  Zahid looked pointedly over at Chase.  "It's all over social media.  Yes, let's talk about that."  Wouldn't the consequences of that be interesting.  One day, all of Chase's arseholery would finally come back to bite him, and Zahid dearly wished to be there when it happened.  Back in the present, he sighed and shook his head in false dismay.  "One might almost feel sorry for the poor girl.  Almost."

He did still want to get to the point of the meeting, however. Zahid finally turned his attention back to Marama. "Why did you call us here?" The sooner they got down to business, the sooner he could leave and get back to doing much more interesting and important things.

When the others arrived, London found himself turning to look up at them and shifted to sit properly in his chair. Though he could have left his feet on the table if he had really wanted to. He just was more about the business right now. He honestly enjoyed teasing his mates but after what happened they really needed to talk about the situation at hand. Hearing Andie’s response to Max caused the older male to laugh and he had to try really hard not to burst out about what he’d been seeing on social media about Max and the Sailor en counter. London decided to sit back and listen for a moment to see what they had to say.

”Elsa and Mulan over here are right. We should talk about that. Since you’re always giving us crap about things. I think it’s time to turn the tables on you, Meg.”he said using the nicknames he had come up with for the others. Smirking he cleared his throat and suddenly became very serious. ”Well it has to do with the explosion though there are a few things were should talk about. The Black Moon is using dirtier tactics. We also need to talk about the impending concert you lot are having.”he said gesturing to Andie and Zahid when mentioning the concert.

Leaning against the wall behind him, Max wasn't about to sit down and get comfortable, he wasn't planning to stay long. Hopefully the others could just get to the point and he could get out of here, but once Andie walked in, it was obvious that there would be no getting to the point. She was worse than Zahid, mostly because she actually thought she was smart, and the more she talked, the more she showed the very opposite.

Rolling his eyes when she brought up his encounter with Sailor Saturn, Max was actually a tad shocked that even London seemed to agree with her. "Wow, I had thought that at least one of you was smart, but apparently I was wrong." Looking straight at London when Max said it, he shook his head.

"I didn't lose anything, I had no intention of ever taking it. As you so astutely noticed, it is all over social media, along with my face. And if I had taken her weapon? Then it wouldn't just be my face all over social media, but they would find everyone else that I spend time around too, and we would all be exposed. And if none of you think there are investigators good enough to find obscure camera footage of us gathering together, like say...the footage of the camera right outside this door..." Raising a hand and pointing behind him, to where a camera could be seen, had the door been open, used by the security of the venue. "...then you're all fools. But go ahead and test your own theory Andie, attack Sailor Neptune during your concert and watch how fast they zero in on the rest of us for knowing you and expose us all."

Shrugging his shoulders, Max wasn't going to discuss this anymore. He was a judge, he knew very well how hard people worked to figure out someone's life and every detail of their day to day comings and goings. He had seen the obscure footages in his court and even found himself impressed at how much work the investigators must have gone to just to find camera footage to prove their points. No, Max wasn't going to ruin his entire life by making his real identity known to the world as public enemy number 1.

"What are we? Kids? Who cares what the Black Moon is doing? It has nothing to do with us, unless she feels the need to one-up them for no reason." Beryl did strange things at times, like bringing together a group of people who couldn't' stand each other. If the Black Moon clan wanted to put themselves at the top of the watch list, Max was fine with that. He was happier to lay low and not be on the radar when they eventually had the moment to steal the Silver Crystal. "Frankly I'd let them continue, let them do the work for us and draw the queen out again, then we can take the crystal and let them take the blame for it."

"Oh don't be so grumpy, Max. You're the one that wasted a perfect opportunity. What do you think Queen Bee would have done if she had known what you failed to do?" Andie asked with a perfectly blonde arched brow. Max always thought that he was so perfect even if everyone else knew the difference. Max might be a pretty face but that was about it.

And even then, he definitely wasn't Andie's type. Hell, none of the boys were her type. She loved Zahid like a brother and a best friend, but that was because she had known him for years before she had joined the Dark Kingdom. She knew that she could always rely on him and their other bandmates. She did what she could to protect their other two dear friends from the world that they lived in. She had no doubt that Beryl would find some way to try and use them against them if they were aware just everything that was going on.

Andie rolled her eyes. There Max went being an overdramatic queen bitch again. He never ceased to amaze her.

"Right. Just keep making excuses." She rolled her eyes again and then she looked back over at London. He was the one that had called the meeting, right? Where were the others? She hadn't seen Kelvin for awhile. All she knew, he was probably messing around with his car or some shit.

"Call me Elsa again and I'm going to ram my boot so far up your ass, you're going to be tasting leather for a fucking month." The blonde snapped as her blue eyes zeroed in on London. She hated him more than Max. At least she could say that she had something in common with Max. They both had sarcasm oozing out of their pores.

Zahid shot Marama a look of confusion, as he always did when Marama used those inane nicknames.  The first few times he had done that, Zahid had turned to Andie to ask 'why is he doing that'...  Andie didn't have an answer either, except that Marama was an idiot.  Zahid was inclined to agree, though he still couldn't help but think that there was something in there he just wasn't getting.  But who even knew what went on in Marama's head?

Chase's explanation, such as it was, was not impressive.  Zahid rolled his eyes as he listened to the outburst.  'Oh, no, I could expose us all!'  As if the tosser spent even a second thinking about anyone but himself.

And there he went assuming that they planned an attack on Sailor Neptune when neither Zahid nor Andie had mentioned any such thing.  There was something that could be said about assuming, but Chase was already an arse.  Chase, Marama, and the rest of the Dark Kingdom always seemed to forget that the band wasn't just Zahid and Andie, that there were two other members who had no involvement in the fight.  Zahid would do anything to keep their other friends out of the crossfire.

Of course, Chase and Marama didn't need to know any of that.  Nor did any of the others, the ones that were currently absent.  Actually, who all was missing?  Hayes, it looked like, and Thomas, and a couple others.  Somehow, he wasn't surprised that they had all skipped out.  No one in this group could stand each other.  Except for himself and Andie, of course.

When Chase denied the need to pay attention to the Black Moon, Zahid couldn't help but roll his eyes yet again.  "Maybe it has nothing to do with you," he countered, before letting out a rueful sigh.  "I liked that market..."  He'd had to do his shopping somewhere else that day.  But speaking of...

"Hmmm... Although... You'll never guess who I ran into on the way there that day."

Staring at the man he had nicknamed Meg before rolling his eyes at the man that was gifted the powers destruction. ”Now that’s uncalled for, Meg.”He responded before listening to the excuse he gave about why he didn’t take the weapon of the guardian. ”Like you care one way or the other if the rest of us are capture. We’re not stupid. We all hate each other and would give up the other in a heartbeat. Well except Mulan and Elsa over there.”he said as he sat there. London hated that he had to work with people that he didn’t get along with at all but he was right in the aspect that if given a chance each one of them would easily give up another to spare their own life. It was slightly ironic that they all hated each other and forced to work together.

”Well you might be the kid but the rest of us are very much adults.”he said as she leaned back in his chair once more. He glared to Max before shaking his head and turning his gaze to Zahid. ”Not only that but my company owns businesses in that area. It may have nothing to do with you but it does for me.”he said crossing his arms over his chest and his interest was lost as he glanced away from the others. He found something on the wall more fascinating than this ridiculous meeting. He only called it to speak about the bombing but it seemed they each had other things to care about.

As Andie spoke of his nickname for her his gaze returned to the white haired female and a smirk crossed his lips. Leaning forward he raised a brow to the young woman, ”You love. Don’t lie.”he told her before wink with a smirk on his lips. He couldn’t help but tease the younger woman. Before anything else his gaze snapped to Zahid and he raised a brow at the inquiry. ”Who’d you run into on the way there, Zahid?”he asked looking up to the man with the gift of ocean and sound. Though he didn’t much get along with the other members of the DK he was curious as to what they were up to.
