Twelve years ago, King Endymion and Neo Queen Serenity were coronated and became Earth’s rulers. However, not all is well – in response to several of their actions, Wiseman has appeared and is making his mark for the first time in history with the formation of the Black Moon. He’s revived crime and murder never seen within the past twelve years. Lingering in the shadows, the Dark Kingdom has also been revived, claiming to be pro-immortality with the desire to obtain the Silver Crystal for themselves. Queen Metaria has also struck a deal with Chaos to revive deceased antagonists to ensure their victory.

(Invitation)  Making Amends
Nikita and Sera didn't always get along. They had some very differing opinions on the queen and how her future should be handled. Simply put, they didn't agree on how much freedom Cynthia should have from the palace. It had caused them to butt heads and Sera had more or less avoided her in person ever since. That argument had left her unsettled and annoyed. She could understand and respect where the Inner guardians were coming from. Cynthia meant so much to them and they had seen firsthand what had happened at the end of the Silver Millennium. She could understand that fear that fed them all.

They all had the same fears.

Sera was afraid of seeing their queen get hurt. What happened between Cynthia and Max was a good example of that. They were all lucky that Lena had been able to get to her as quickly as she did. That may very well have saved their queen from getting into worse trouble than she had already been in. Of course, Max was a very touchy subject.

Everyone knew that he was a member of the Dark Kingdom now and everyone knew that he was also the man that Sera had been seeing in secret under the cloak of darkness. She didn't want anyone to know about her relationship with him because despite not knowing for sure what he was hiding, she had known that he was not a good man. She had known that he was the enemy. She hadn't known the full extent until the queen and Lena came back to the palace and she heard firsthand what happened. Now everyone doubted her judgment. Or worse, they thought that she was just a naive child.

Sera had already downed a flute of champagne and she was feeling some liquid courage. She didn't want to start anything. She wanted to make amends and leave their differences between them in the past. She approached Nikita and she offered her a small, polite nod.

"Do you mind if I speak with you for a little while?" She asked. If Nikita said no, well, that was that.

Well, this was unexpected.

Her last conversation with the Saturnian was more than unpleasant, to say the very least. Both she and Sera were concerned about Cynthia, but for very different reasons. Nikita for her friend's security, and Sera for her happiness. Yet, being the strongly opinionated people that they were, the discussion quickly grew hostile. Boundaries were crossed, abilities were certainly doubted, and it ended in angry tears on the Martian's end. Nikita herself couldn't be happy in what took place, that was for sure...Though this epiphany took many moons for both Senshi and her enormous pride to realize it.

Instead, as words that were flung at each other in Cynthia's office continued to bite at her heart raw, Nikita drove herself deeper into reclusion, closing herself off in the prayer room every moment that she could. The meditations helped temper emotions, but as time staggered on, the moment to make amends with Seraphina grew more difficult and meaningless. Awkward, even. But fate would be forcing this moment upon the women now.

The priestess did not know what to say.

...That was a lie. Nikita, in fact, had more than enough to say to her, burning on her tongue. Due to the recent circumstances with Cynthia's attack, it was far too easy to lash out at Seraphina once more. To verbally beat her down further than what the woman was already feeling. At least, in this case, it would be justified. Seraphina's association with that man could've have compromised so much more than just a broken heart.

"Actually, I do," The leftover remnants of her ire spoke first before the ravenette checked herself, though her dark eyes were still cold. Alas, this wouldn't work. In order for them to get through tonight's ball as a team, she would need to be a little more receptive. She had to try again. Running her hand idly to smooth the front of her gown, Nikita sighed and gazed up once more to Sera. "..But for the sake of tonight, and for Cynthia and everyone else. I'm willing to attempt."
